Lady Gaga Adds Lipstick Smile To Mona Lisa In New Video at The Louvre

Lady Gaga recently appeared in a new video where she comes face-to-face with the famous "Mona Lisa" painting at the Louvre in Paris. In the clip, shared on her Instagram and TikTok accounts, Gaga wears a red wig and sings a special song as she moves through the museum at night. At the end of the video, she draws a playful lipstick smile on the protective glass in front of the painting.

The video was made to promote the Louvre's upcoming exhibition, "Figures of the Fool," which will open next month, alongside Gaga's new movie "Joker: Folie à Deux." In the film, Gaga plays the character Harley Quinn, which inspired the fun, clown-like moment with the Mona Lisa.

The Louvre explained that the video is completely fictional and made in collaboration with Warner Bros., the studio behind Gaga’s Joker movie. The lipstick was applied to a second layer of glass, leaving Leonardo da Vinci’s masterpiece safely protected behind its bulletproof shield.

This isn’t the first time the Louvre has worked with stars. In 2016, Will.i.am appeared in a music video that included animated versions of famous paintings from the museum. Two years later, Beyoncé and Jay-Z filmed their video “Apeshit” inside the museum as well.

The video has created a buzz online, with fans enjoying the playful tribute to the iconic painting.
