Taylor Swift's New Single Sales Soar By 120% In Just One Week

Taylor Swift is busy promoting her new single, “I Can Do It With a Broken Heart,” from her latest album, The Tortured Poets Department. The song has quickly gained popularity, and now, several months after its release, it is seeing a big boost in sales.

In the past week, “I Can Do It With a Broken Heart” sold nearly 2,200 copies in the U.S., marking a 120% increase from the previous week, when it sold just under 1,000 copies, according to Luminate.

On September 13, Swift released a remix of the song, which may have contributed to the surge in sales. The remix, produced by Dombresky, gives the song a fresh sound. The new version, along with the original and an instrumental track, is available on streaming platforms, attracting more listeners and buyers.

As a result of this sales boost, the song is climbing various music charts. It moved up from No. 33 to No. 26 on the Hot 100 chart. Sales play a significant role in a song’s position on this competitive chart.

While “I Can Do It With a Broken Heart” is not back on the Digital Song Sales chart yet, it is close, missing out by just over 300 copies. Additionally, the song is gaining traction in other areas. It returned to the Streaming Songs list at No. 36. Typically, all versions of a song, including remixes, are combined when counting sales and streams.

The track is also becoming a hit on the radio, reaching new heights on the Pop Airplay chart at No. 11 and the Adult Contemporary chart at No. 20. However, it fell two spots to No. 21 on the all-genre Radio Songs list.

Recently, Swift’s previous single, “Fortnight,” featuring Post Malone, also saw a significant increase in sales, rising by 235% after winning Video of the Year at the MTV Video Music Awards.
