Bronny James, the son of NBA legend LeBron James, scored his first points in the NBA on Wednesday, thrilling fans in Cleveland. Just over two minutes before the end of the game, Bronny hit a step-back jumper, sending the crowd into cheers, especially since Cleveland is the hometown of both Bronny and his dad.

The Cleveland Cavaliers fans chanted, "We want Bronny!" hoping to see him on the court as the Los Angeles Lakers played against the Cavaliers. Lakers coach JJ Reddick finally put Bronny in during the fourth quarter, giving fans the moment they wanted. Although the Cavaliers comfortably won the game 134-110, the spotlight was on Bronny.

Bronny’s basket came 21 years and one day after LeBron’s first NBA points. The moment felt special for both father and son, who made NBA history as the first father-son duo to play in the league together. LeBron, who led the Cavaliers to their only NBA title in 2016, was proud of his son’s calmness in a big moment. "He’s better than I would have been in that situation," LeBron said.

Before the game, Bronny shared his excitement on social media, posting photos of banners welcoming both him and LeBron back to Cleveland. “It was a special moment for me,” Bronny said. “I’ve been dreaming of this since I picked up a basketball.”

In another game, the Indiana Pacers held off a comeback from the Boston Celtics to win 135-132 in overtime. Pascal Siakam nailed a clutch three-pointer with six seconds left to secure the victory. Siakam, who joined the Pacers this season, led the team with 29 points. The Celtics fought hard, with Jayson Tatum scoring 37 points, but it wasn’t enough.

Karl-Anthony Towns scored 44 points, leading the New York Knicks to a 116-107 win over the Miami Heat. Towns, recently traded from the Minnesota Timberwolves, made an impact with 68% shooting. The Knicks rallied from a 13-point deficit in the third quarter, while the Heat’s Tyler Herro scored 34 points, though it wasn’t enough to stop New York. Source: CNN

Photo: Matt Heafy / Instagram   TRIVIUM’s Matt Heafy has spoken out about the early end of “The Poisoned Ascendancy” tour with Bullet For My Valentine.
