Georges St-Pierre Rejects $7 Million Offer To Fight Tyron Woodley

Georges St-Pierre, one of the most celebrated fighters in UFC history, recently turned down a massive $7 million offer to fight former welterweight champ Tyron Woodley in the Middle East. St-Pierre, who retired from MMA in 2019, is known as one of the greatest fighters of all time and a legend in the welterweight division.

Fans have been hoping for years to see St-Pierre, also known as "Rush," return to the Octagon. While he has shown some interest in competing in jiu-jitsu matches, he has avoided getting back into MMA. 

Tyron Woodley, however, revealed that both he and St-Pierre were offered $7 million by one of Woodley’s Middle Eastern investors to make the fight happen. “Georges St-Pierre never wanted to fight me,” Woodley said in an interview, sharing that St-Pierre has declined several offers to face him.

Woodley, who became welterweight champion in 2016, defended his title four times before leaving the UFC after four straight losses. These days, he’s also been in the spotlight for his past fights with internet star Jake Paul, including a knockout loss in their rematch.


Woodley has been promoting the upcoming boxing match between Mike Tyson and Jake Paul, which is set to take place this Friday. Source
