Khabib Nurmagomedov Backs Controversial Cryptocurrency Targeting Conor McGregor

Former UFC champion Khabib Nurmagomedov has surprised fans by endorsing a new cryptocurrency called $Convict, which claims to help victims of Conor McGregor’s alleged misconduct.

McGregor, who recently faced a sexual assault lawsuit, has seen his reputation take a hit, losing brand deals and having murals of him removed. Now, $Convict, a “satirical meme coin,” says it aims to raise funds for the legal fees of his alleged victims.

The creators of $Convict describe it as purely for “entertainment and meme culture.” However, the coin has raised eyebrows because it has received support from Nurmagomedov, a prominent MMA figure and McGregor’s longtime rival.

“Good job, guys, you have my full support. This guy deserves punishment,” Khabib commented on a post promoting the coin on November 27.

Critics have pointed out that this isn’t the first time Khabib has been linked to questionable crypto projects. He previously faced backlash for promoting NFTs.


$Convict is only five days old, but experts have spotted potential signs of a "pump and dump" scheme. This tactic involves inflating the value of a token to attract buyers, then selling off the holdings, causing the price to crash.

It’s unclear whether $Convict is a scam or a genuine effort to support McGregor’s alleged victims. Source
