Canelo Alvarez Calls Jake Paul vs. Mike Tyson Fight An ‘Injustice’

Canelo Alvarez has shared his thoughts on the recent fight between Jake Paul and Mike Tyson, calling it an “injustice.” The Mexican boxing star admitted he considered stepping into the ring with Paul to defend Tyson’s honor but denied any current talks about a fight with Terence Crawford.

Last month, fans watched as Jake Paul, a 27-year-old YouTuber-turned-boxer, defeated 58-year-old Tyson in a fight that many called a “sad” event. Tyson, a heavyweight boxing legend, appeared to struggle after just a couple of two-minute rounds, while Paul held back and didn’t go for a knockout.

Speaking about the fight, Canelo said, “I feel sad about what I saw from Mike Tyson. But it’s business for them, and it’s fine, whatever.”

When asked if the fight made him consider taking on Paul, Canelo replied, “I did think about it when I saw the fight, when I see that injustice. But it’s business for them, and it’s fine.”

Canelo’s future plans in boxing are still up in the air. Rumors have surfaced on social media about a potential fight with Terence Crawford, but the boxer denied these claims. “No, now I’m working on other things. I’m enjoying my family. Maybe in January we’re going to start talking about boxing again,” he said.

As for Jake Paul, he has repeatedly called out Canelo in the past. After his win over Tyson, Paul declared, “Canelo needs me… I want to show the world I can beat Canelo. It would be the biggest upset in boxing history.”

Paul even floated the idea of a fight at 200 pounds for a cruiserweight title, saying, “Canelo is on his way out or he’s going to want a payday. I’ll prove everything I’ve said about beating him is true.”

Whether a clash between Canelo Alvarez and Jake Paul will happen remains to be seen, but both fighters seem open to the possibility for the right reasons—or the right payday. Source

Photo: Matt Heafy / Instagram   TRIVIUM’s Matt Heafy has spoken out about the early end of “The Poisoned Ascendancy” tour with Bullet For My Valentine. The two bands started the run earlier this year to honor the 20th anniversaries of “Ascendancy” and “The Poison.” Plans were made for a full world tour, but things stopped after just three months. TRIVIUM bassist Paolo Gregoletto said Bullet singer Matt Tuck pulled out, adding that he was the only decision maker for the band. Photo: Matt Heafy / Instagram   Bullet later shared a statement saying they respect TRIVIUM but wanted to focus on making a new album instead. In a new interview, Heafy said TRIVIUM wanted to keep going but their “dance partner dropped off.” He confirmed TRIVIUM will now push ahead with their own “Ascend Above The Ashes” tour this fall with Jinjer and Heriot.
