Bad Bunny was named the Top Latin Artist of the 21st Century at the Billboard Latin Music Awards, where the honor was presented by legend Rita Moreno.
Moreno praised his success and spoke about the struggles Latino artists once faced in the U.S.
Bad Bunny, whose real name is Benito Antonio Martínez Ocasio, thanked her and dedicated the award to young artists chasing their dreams.
The win comes just months before he headlines the Super Bowl LX halftime show in February 2026, becoming the first Latin-American male solo artist to do so.
His Super Bowl selection sparked backlash from some critics over his Spanish-language set and past immigration comments.
NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell defended the choice, saying the decision was “carefully thought through.”
The award celebrates Bad Bunny’s record-breaking albums and global cultural impact.
He also took home 11 awards that night, including Artist of the Year and Top Latin Album.
