DROWNING POOL guitarist C.J. Pierce recently spoke with the Mind Behind The Music podcast about his side projects and the chance of releasing a solo album someday.
Pierce said his main focus is still DROWNING POOL, but he hopes to work on other music when he has more time.
One project he mentioned is AS ABOVE / SO BELOW, a band he started in 2012 with his brother Jacob Pierce.
They finished a full album, but the pandemic put things on hold.
His brother’s bandmates later formed ANEMIC, while Pierce stayed busy with DROWNING POOL.
He also has a project with his wife called ELECTRIC VELVET, where they perform covers and original songs together.
DROWNING POOL recently released two new singles, “Madness” and “Revolution (The Final Amen),” their first new work with singer Ryan McCombs in 13 years.
The band is now working on a new EP for release in 2026 to mark the 25th anniversary of their debut album Sinner.
Pierce confirmed that DROWNING POOL plans to tour in 2026 to celebrate the record that made their hit “Bodies” a rock anthem.
