Death metal band Vitriol has fallen apart while on their North American tour.

Guitarist Keith Merrow said he, bassist Brett Leier, and drummer Andy Vincenzetti left singer Kyle Rasmussen at a gas station in Vermont.

Merrow wrote on Instagram that they could no longer deal with Rasmussen’s “cowardly and weak outbursts of misplaced anger.”

He added that leaving him behind was “the darkest day” of his music career.

Vincenzetti also posted, saying, “Onwards and upwards,” after quitting the band.

The news follows other recent exits, including drummer Matt Kilner and bassist Adam Roethlisberger.

Rasmussen had earlier admitted he could be “a difficult person to work with.”

The tour began November 6 in Santa Cruz and was supposed to continue through cities like Toronto, Chicago, and Denver before a planned European run in 2026.
