LINKIN PARK bassist Dave “Phoenix” Farrell said the band’s comeback has “gone very well” and that the “shows have been great.”
In an interview with Argentina’s UnDinamo, Farrell talked about the success of their “From Zero” world tour, which supports their 2024 album of the same name.
The record is the band’s first since 2017’s One More Light and features new singer Emily Armstrong and drummer Colin Brittain.
Farrell said the band wasn’t sure what to expect at first but is happy with how the tour and lineup have turned out.
He admitted there was some fear in restarting LINKIN PARK after Chester Bennington’s death but said the group needed to see what a new chapter could be.
The comeback began as small writing sessions between Farrell, Mike Shinoda, and Joe Hahn that slowly grew into a full project.
Shinoda said fans have welcomed the new era and praised Armstrong’s “once-in-a-generation” voice.
LINKIN PARK’s From Zero has become one of 2024’s top rock releases, topping charts and passing two billion streams.
