Louis Tomlinson is opening up about the pressure of fame as he graces the cover of Rolling Stone UK for the first time.
The former One Direction singer is gearing up to release his third solo album, How Did I Get Here?, on January 23 next year.
He said the album reflects how confident he feels now and marks a move from the darker tone of his last record, Faith in the Future, to a brighter sound.
Louis shared that he recorded parts of the album in Costa Rica, where songs like “Lemonade,” “Sunflowers,” and “Lazy” were born from the peaceful atmosphere.
He also addressed a past post by Robbie Williams that he believes was about him, saying it happened while he was dealing with grief.
Louis explained that moments like that taught him the need to protect himself from fame’s pressure.
Still, he tries to stay open and connect with fans, saying performing live helps him feel grounded.
The new album, which also includes tracks like “Imposter” and “Palaces,” was recorded in Los Angeles, the English countryside, and Costa Rica.
