Klay Thompson is Expected to Return Near Christmas: Reports

Klay Thompson is reportedly getting closer to a return to the field, as he is expected either just before Christmas or possibly right after, depending on his health.

As of now, he's been practicing with the Golden State Warriors' G League affiliate in Santa Cruz and will continue to get game action with the team before returning to the Warriors.

Thompson has participated in scrimmages for the Santa Cruz Warriors, playing for extended stretches and appearing like his old self.

Although it may only be a few clips in a G League practice, it is great to see Thompson back on the court. Unsurprisingly, he has been locked in from day one.

Santa Cruz's head coach, Seth Cooper, said Thompson couldn't miss when he stepped on the court.

According to Cooper, "He's cleared for full go, so everything we did was 100 percent him going.". "There was no holding him back.

"It was just letting him experience everything that he could. Then he did it, and he did it well... I believe he made his first 18 shots."

Thompson has been out of action since Game 6 of the 2019 Finals, when he tore his ACL in a Warriors' season-ending loss to the Toronto Raptors. He then tore his Achilles tendon during a workout shortly before the season started.

Thompson is about to play basketball again after two seasons and two-plus calendar years. When he returns to the court, he'll join a Warriors team that once again looks like a title contender.

So far this season, they're 21-5 with a plus-12.0-net rating that leads the league. Thompson's return will be the icing on the cake for the Warriors.

During the bout, Gaethje landed heavy punches and kicks that Khabib admitted were painful. “He hit like a truck,” Khabib said on Mike Tyson ’s Hotboxin' podcast. “His left hook, right hook, uppercut—they all hurt. But I made him hit me because I knew he didn’t like wrestling. My plan was to tire him out by standing with him, then take him to the ground and finish the fight.” Photo: Khabib Nurmagomedov / Instagram Khabib ended the fight with a triangle choke submission. He explained he chose the move out of respect for Gaethje’s parents, who were watching. “I didn’t want to break his arm in front of his parents,” Khabib said. “So I put him to sleep instead. That’s better.” D...
