The Las Vegas Raiders chose Tyree Wilson as the seventh overall pick in the NFL Draft, and this could spell trouble for the Kansas City Chiefs' quarterback, Patrick Mahomes.

Following Wilson's selection, Mahomes took to Twitter to ask the new Raiders player to take it easy on him.

Mahomes, who won Super Bowl LVII, congratulated Wilson and added, "Take it easy on me big dawg!!" Mahomes and Wilson share a Texas Tech connection, as they both played college football for the university.

Photo: Instagram/Patrick Mahomes shares his thoughts on facing Tyree Wilson in the future. He expresses respect for his former teammate, but notes that they will be fierce competitors on the field.

Last season, Wilson was one of the top performers for the Texas Tech Red Raiders, accumulating seven sacks, which is tied for fourth place in the Big 12 Conference and within the top-50 nationally.

With his impressive performance, Wilson is expected to be a dominant edge rusher this season, wreaking havoc on quarterbacks across the league.

Despite being division rivals, Mahomes and Wilson's shared alma mater seems to have created a bond between them.

While the Chiefs and Raiders are known for their intense rivalry, Mahomes' message to Wilson shows that there is still respect between the two teams.

Texas Tech has been a breeding ground for talented football players, including Mahomes and Wilson, who have now made it to the professional level.

The NFL has not yet released its full season schedule, so it remains to be seen when the Chiefs and Raiders will face each other this year.

However, when they do, it is sure to be an exciting match-up, with Wilson hoping to sack Mahomes and Mahomes hoping to evade his former college teammate.
