SHINEDOWN has released a new single called “Searchlight” via Atlantic Records, marking the start of a new era for the multi-platinum band.
The song was first performed live during their debut at the Grand Ole Opry last month, where it became the highlight of the night.
Frontman Brent Smith said the song “found us” and spoke about its message of finding purpose and owning true feelings.
“Searchlight” was written by Smith, bassist Eric Bass, and Dave Bassett, and produced by Bass at Big Animal Studio in Charleston, South Carolina.
The music video, filmed in Nashville and directed by Andrew Donoho, premieres today, November 18, at noon ET.
Smith said the video captures the heart of the song using real effects and honest visuals.
The release follows SHINEDOWN’s string of No. 1 hits this year, including “Three Six Five” and “Dance, Kid, Dance.”
The band will next join the 2025 iHeartRadio Jingle Ball Tour and headline Sonic Temple in 2026.
