Taylor Swift has explained why she’s not performing at the Super Bowl Halftime Show.
During an interview on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, Swift cleared up rumors that she turned it down over rights to the show footage.
She said that wasn’t true and added her team never got an official offer from Roc Nation, which handles the halftime lineup.
Swift said she heard only general questions about her interest, not a real invitation.
She also shared that her focus is on her fiancé, NFL star Travis Kelce, during football season.
Swift said the sport is “dangerous” and she’s too invested in watching him play to think about a big performance.

She joked that she couldn’t imagine planning choreography while Kelce was on the field risking injury.
Swift added that Kelce would support her doing it, but she’s simply “too locked in” right now.
